We are a reputable trucking company seeking an experienced Truck Driver, Long Haul to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various locations.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 or A Driver's License and an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. You will also need to have a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, including tire checks, brake inspections, and other essential tasks.
Responsibilities- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload cargo at designated locations, ensuring that all items are properly secured and accounted for.
- Maintain Vehicle Condition: Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle, checking tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Obtain Permits and Documents: Acquire necessary permits and documents required for international routes, guaranteeing compliance with all regulations.
- Perform Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency situations by performing roadside repairs, minimizing downtime and ensuring safe transportation.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, adhering to strict logging standards.
- Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping and monitoring it during transit.
- Driver's License: Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
- Work Experience: Will train applicants who meet the necessary qualifications.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 per year, based on experience and location, plus benefits. The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $68,500.
