About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Craftsman to join our team at Decowell Construction Inc. as a Wood Construction Specialist.

Job Description

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week, with an estimated salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, crouching and kneeling. Overtime may be required.

Language and Work Term
  • English is the primary language used for communication.
  • This is a permanent position.
