Graphic Designer Job Description

A1 APPAREL & PROMOTIONS is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join our team. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and effective graphics for our communications materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate and Plan: Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations, and plan accordingly to meet deadlines.
  • Design and Develop: Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations, and create 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations.
  • Collaborate with Clients: Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations, and work with them to establish the overall look, graphic elements, and content of communications materials.
  • Coordinate Production: Coordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual, or electronic materials, and determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect.
  • Establish Guidelines: Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers, and prepare sketches, layouts, and graphic elements.
  • Work with Existing Assets: Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides to create effective graphics.

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in graphic design or a related field.

Work Environment:

  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language.
