Housekeeping Attendant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Holiday Inn Mississauga Toronto West. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in hotel rooms and public areas, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, dusting furniture, and vacuuming carpets and upholstered furniture.
  • Make beds and change sheets, and distribute clean towels and toiletries to guests.
  • Stock linen closets and clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Handle and report lost and found items, and attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Provide basic information on hotel facilities and amenities to guests.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, and wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Clean changing rooms and showers, and maintain a clean and safe environment for guests.
Requirements:
  • Basic security clearance and a criminal record check.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Will train, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
Working Conditions:
  • 30 hours per week, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Public transportation is available.
