About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Canada's Best Value Inn. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, and handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, pick up debris and empty trash containers, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Support Services: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
