Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Addiction Counsellor to join our team. As an Addiction Counsellor, you will work within a team-oriented approach to deliver services to clients, family members, and community. Your responsibilities will include conducting intake applications, developing service plans, conducting counsellor-client interviews, counselling sessions, and assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to develop personalized service plans
- Conduct regular counselling sessions and assessments
- Maintain confidentiality and prepare appropriate documentation
- Facilitate educational and group sessions related to addiction services and mental wellness
- Develop and implement programming initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Education in Human Services, Addictions, or related field
- Minimum of two years related experience in the field of Addictions Counselling
- Demonstrated qualities of a positive role model for the Anishinaabe community
- Knowledge of Anishinaabe culture, language, and issues is an asset
- Valid Class G Driver's License
