**Job Description: Confined Space Rescue Technician**

The Confined Space Rescue Technician will participate in rescue situations and critical tasks. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a confined rescue capacity and excellent communication skills.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Facilitate rescue in the event of an incident involving personnel who are working in confined spaces.
  • Inspect, inventory, and document all equipment at the beginning of each shift.
  • Set up and test communications and alarm systems.
  • Ensure all gas detection and breathing apparatus equipment is inspected prior to use and passes a function test.
  • Ability to problem solve and utilize interpersonal skills while maintaining a level of professionalism at all times.
  • Knowledge of the whereabouts of all safety equipment.

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience working in a confined rescue capacity.
  • Standard First Aid/CPR.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good vision/hearing.
  • Clean drivers abstract.
  • Experience running breathing air systems.

**Physical Demands:**

  • Working at heights and/or climbing ladders or stairs.
  • Working in small/confined spaces.
  • Lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Pushing/pulling (tools/objects).
  • Sitting/driving.
  • Bending/kneeling/crouching.
  • Standing/walking for long periods of time.
  • Working in adverse weather environments (heat/cold) and conditions (rain/wind/snow).

**Shift Information:** Potential shift lengths 10–12 hours. Availability to work longer if client requires longer shifts or schedule changes.
