Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and conduct safety training programs for DSV Solutions Inc. employees, focusing on industry-specific topics.
  • Provide training to warehouse associates and floor management on occupational safety best practices.
  • Ensure timely completion of work-related injury reports, implement corrective actions, and conduct job site safety compliance inspections.
  • Coordinate inspections, investigations, and occupational safety activities with departments.
  • Direct and review the analysis of accident and injury data, identifying needs for new or modified occupational safety programs.
  • Responsible for monitoring adherence to the company safety program by all DSV Solutions Inc. employees and subcontractors.
  • Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate departmental occupational safety programs.
  • Design safety standards to conform to industry standards and federal, provincial, and local regulations.
  • Ensure the functionality of Joint Safety Committees/Representatives, as required by legislation.
  • Ensure appropriate first-aid supplies are maintained and ordered, as required.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the OHSA and workers' compensation legislation.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong English communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize work.
  • Must be results-driven with an attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Safety certification training (e.g., CRSP, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information, and MSDA) is considered a strong asset.
  • Three to five years' experience in occupational health and safety.
