Job Summary

DCT Chambers Trucking Ltd is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods across the country. You will work independently, managing your route and ensuring timely delivery of cargo. Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently
  • Transport goods across the country, adhering to schedules and delivery deadlines
  • Manage route and ensure timely delivery of cargo
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as required
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently
