Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Commis Fruits et Légumes to join our team at Metro Jonquière. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for receiving and stocking merchandise, preparing and displaying fruits and vegetables, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and count merchandise, including fruits, vegetables, and other products, and ensure they are properly stored in the warehouse, refrigerator, or designated area.
  • Prepare, package, weigh, label, and display fruits and vegetables according to department standards.
  • Update prices on shelves and, if necessary, on products in the department.
  • Rotate merchandise on shelves and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Adhere to government health and safety standards.
  • Wear required safety equipment.
  • Clean work areas and maintain a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Perform other related tasks as required by your supervisor.
Requirements
  • Customer-focused and excellent communication skills.
  • Team player with initiative and autonomy.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
