Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Counter Associate to join our team. As a Sales Counter Associate, you will provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a clean and organized sales counter area, answering customer questions, and processing sales transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales counter area, including restocking merchandise and disposing of trash.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
- Assist customers with product information, recommendations, and demonstrations.
- Work collaboratively with other sales team members to achieve sales goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales or customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in a retail or sales environment.
- Knowledge of plumbing and building products.
- Ability to use technology, including point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
