Job Summary

LTS Logistics is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from the trailer, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate and Drive: Operate and drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all cargo and vehicle information is accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
