Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Biochemistry Research Scientist to join our team at KNG Technical Inc.

About the Role:
  • As a Biochemistry Research Scientist, you will be responsible for helping optimize new technologies for our diagnostic product;
  • You will design, execute, and meticulously document experiments related to flow cytometry and microscopy data analysis;
  • Your key responsibility will be to communicate results to fellow scientists and non-science members of the team;
  • You will analyze clinical samples for assay validation and develop methods to transfer to other internal or external partners;
  • Apart from this, you will manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • You will effectively communicate with peers and leadership to support decision-making by writing protocols and summarizing results in reports or presentations;
  • You will mentor and help colleagues grow and develop skills;
About You:
  • You must have a Ph.D. with a minimum of 1 year of industry experience or a postdoctoral fellowship or M.Sc. with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in biochemistry, biology, immunology, hematology, or related field;
  • You should have competency in cell-based assays such as flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, and biochemical assays;
  • You should have experience with design and execution of experiments in a wet lab;
  • You must possess high level of organizational and time management skills;
  • You should be able to communicate results and concepts clearly to team members;
  • You should have experience maintaining a research laboratory;
  • You should have research laboratory experience in relevant fields;
  • You should have experience with conducting experiments on, or maintaining instruments listed above;
  • You should be able to multi-task, rapidly learn new techniques, and adapt to frequently changing job functions;
  • You should be familiar with Python or other programming languages;
  • You should be familiar with image processing software;
  • You should have familiarity with the medical device industry and associated regulatory pathways;
  • You should have experience with FlowJo, FACS Diva, or other flow cytometry analysis platforms;
  • You should have experience working with laboratory automation/liquid handling (i.e., TECAN);
  • You should be able to write and maintain standard operating procedures;
  • You should have assay development experience with clinical samples;
  • You should have prior experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
