About the Job:

This role involves moderate complexity work related to crime prevention, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will work in the Crime Prevention organizational unit, coordinating and delivering Community Crime Reduction and Intervention programs.

Responsibilities include conducting security assessments, preparing reports, and providing information through workshops and meetings with the public and community partners.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by post-secondary training in criminology or equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Considerable related experience, including some experience in promoting community-based programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external contacts
