Job Description

As a Medical Specialist - Clinical Pharmacy at Mediclinic International, you will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to the hospital.

You will work closely with the medical team to ensure that patients receive safe and effective medication.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing clinical pharmacy services to the hospital
  2. Mitigating and supporting the management of pharmaceutical risks in the hospital
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in pharmacy or a related field
  • Knowledge of the pharmacy and related healthcare industry
  • Relevant pharmacy legislation (e.g. Pharmacy Act; Good pharmacy practice; Medicine Control Act 101 of 1965)
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience working with relevant pharmacy systems (e.g. electronic prescribing systems)

You will also need to have a strong understanding of antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control principles.
