Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Caron Transportation Systems. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of transport trucks and trailers are properly maintained and repaired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on transport trucks and trailers, including inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of systems and components.
  • Use hand and power tools to carry out repairs according to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Read and understand work orders, task procedures, and interpret technical manuals.
  • Write work orders and diagnose the cause of failures.
  • Mentor and assist apprentices.
  • Perform inspections as per the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program, if licensed to do so.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman or Apprentice with 3+ years directly related experience.
  • CVIP License will be considered an asset.
  • Scheduling flexibility.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
