We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher Helper to join our team at Gill Concrete Pumping Ltd.

Job Summary

This is a permanent position that offers an estimated salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting concrete finishers in completing various tasks related to concrete construction.

About the Role

The Concrete Finisher Helper will work under the supervision of experienced concrete finishers to load, unload and transport construction materials. They will also assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades. Additionally, they will operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.

Other responsibilities include mixing, pouring and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt, as well as assisting in aligning pipes during pipeline construction. The Concrete Finisher Helper may also assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs, leveling earth to fine grade specifications, and removing rubble and other debris at construction sites.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, bend, crouching, kneeling
