About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dishwasher to join our dynamic kitchen team at Dexterra Group. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and have an unforgettable dining experience.

As a Dishwasher reporting to the Chef Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Washing and sanitizing all dishes, pots, and pans to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Restocking utensils, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen appliances and equipment to ensure they remain in excellent working condition
  • Emptying and cleaning trash receptacles and recycling bins
  • Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor to maintain a clean and safe environment

You will also be responsible for adhering to all required health and safety regulations and procedures, including:

  • Using proper techniques when handling tools, supplies, and equipment provided (e.g., knives, ovens, cleaning materials)
  • Wearing and correctly using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as non-slip shoes and cut-resistant gloves
  • Complying with FoodSafe and/or ServeSafe standards, including recording all time-temperature sensitive food items
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual who has a minimum of 1 year's experience in the hospitality or food service industry. You should have a strong background in customer service and possess excellent communication skills.

In addition to your technical skills, you should also possess:

  • Food Safety certification
  • WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional and punctual work habits
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
