Job Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Systems Apprentice to join our team at Weather On Demand. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install underground wiring and cables, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation, including reports and specifications.
  • Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Determine the appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults, using diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve issues.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Instruct apprentices, sharing knowledge and expertise to support their development.
  • Install power generation, stand-by power generation, and power conditioning systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Supervise other workers, providing guidance and oversight to ensure tasks are completed safely and effectively.
  • Estimate costs and materials, using industry knowledge and experience to inform decisions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, applying technical knowledge to support electrical system design and installation.

Requirements:

  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
  • Permanent employment with a focus on career development and growth.
  • English language proficiency, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • 30 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing work demands.
