Chef for a Fast-Paced Kitchen Team

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at EDOKKO JAPANESE FOOD. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Operate manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, ensuring optimal results and minimizing waste.
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our staff and customers.
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars, ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are readily available for preparation.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a line cook or in a similar role.
- A Safe Food Handling certificate is required.
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi preparation techniques, is an asset.
- Ability to work under pressure, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 25 kg.
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a competitive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
