Job Title: Farm Supervisor

Barry Chernuka is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, and maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and farm safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor animal health and implement measures to prevent disease and injury
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed at all times
  • Oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Perform general farm duties, including maintenance and repairs
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective farm operations
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in farm supervision or a related field
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Experience with tractor operation, haying equipment, and farm trucks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and physically demanding conditions
Work Environment:

Our farm is located in a rural area and operates in a beef cattle ranching and farming environment. The work site environment is dusty, noisy, and may involve odours and wet/damp conditions.

Language:

The primary language of work is English, and the work schedule is 40 hours per week.
