Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Ocean Orthodontics. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our orthodontic office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care and support in a compassionate and personalized manner.
  • Ensure patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and their goals for comprehensive oral health.
  • Collect patient dental and medical history to reference during examinations.
  • Prepare patients for the Orthodontist and ensure they are comfortable and at ease.
  • Take X-Rays and follow all safety procedures as required.
  • Examine gums for infections or gum disease and clean patient teeth to remove plaque, polish, floss, and brush.
  • Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits and treatment progress.
  • Update patient records and examination notes.
  • Perform lab duties and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Call patients for aftercare and answer questions.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
  • Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within the province, in good standing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
  • Great time management and organizational skills.
  • Current CPR and First Aid training.
