We are seeking a skilled Butcher, Retail to join our team at Capital Convenience And Halal Meats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a meat cutting machine to portion and package meat products.
  • Clean and prepare carcasses, sides, and quarters for further processing.
  • Use manual cutting tools to cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
  • Wrap and package prepared meats for display and sale.
  • Remove bones from meat and poultry.
  • Weigh and price meat products for sale.
  • Cut and prepare fish and shellfish.
  • Sell meat and poultry products to customers.
  • Cut and portion meat and poultry to customer specifications.
  • Supervise and train other butchers and meat cutters.
  • Grind and mix meat for sausages and other products.
  • Prepare and display meat and poultry products in an attractive and safe manner.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures for food safety and handling.

Work Environment

The Butcher, Retail will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or food service environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
