Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Plan and estimate labour and materials to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Tender and administer contracts with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked and efficient nursery and greenhouse.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers to ensure they have the necessary training and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Fast-paced environment with a focus on productivity and efficiency.
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to lift up to 25 kg.

Experience:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a nursery or greenhouse setting.
  • Permanent position with a 32-hour workweek.
  • English language proficiency required.
