About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Zida Academy. As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Sanitation and Hygiene: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Trash and Recycling: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Childcare Support: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Preparation and Setup: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR.
  • Security and Safety: Bondable, Vulnerable Sector Check, Medical Exam, Immunization Records.
  • Transportation: Own transportation, public transportation available.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail.
