About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Academy Powerplay Daycare. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Engagement and Support: Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Health and Safety: Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Environment and Operations: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of dedicated professionals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
