Environmental Manager

Wataynikaneyap Power is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's environmental stewardship practices are upheld throughout all work activities. This includes developing and maintaining an enhanced Environmental Management System that reflects our Guiding Principles and Indigenous perspectives on environmental and land stewardship.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and management, with experience working in First Nations homelands and remote areas. You will be responsible for coordinating environmental management work activities, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial environmental regulations, and developing or enhancing environmental management systems that are founded upon Indigenous laws, principles, and customs related to protecting the natural environment.
