At VPS GEAR MFG. & MACHINING LTD., we are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. This permanent position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals with experience in general manufacturing and mining industries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Read and Interpret Engineering Drawings: Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure precision in machining operations.
  • Verify Dimensions: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to maintain quality control.
  • Operate CNC Machines: Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, including broaching machines, drill presses, engine lathes, and milling machines.
  • Document and Report: Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, ensuring that all machining operations meet quality standards.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is required.
  • 1 Year to Less Than 2 Years of Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Standing for extended periods and attention to detail are essential for this role.
