Job Title: Ocean and Air Logistics Supervisor

Specializing in worldwide logistics, we are seeking a SENIOR LOGISTICS COORDINATION for OCEAN and AIR shipments for the International Freight Department. As the primary go-to-person for the logistics staff in the international department, you will be responsible for providing support for the operations team for all modes of transport (ground, courier, ocean, air) for domestic and international shipments.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and training for the operations team, as well as handling operations duties when required
  • Maintain client database and be the primary contact for problem solving
  • Oversee prices, quotes, RFP/RFQs, price project requests, finding cost-effective solutions
  • Verify and troubleshoot any issues in shipping or customs documentation
  • Update, send, approve and release invoices to customers
  • Customs duties
  • Work closely with the Vice-President and Director of Sales and Operations
Qualifications:
  • 10-15 years minimum experience in freight forwarding
  • Participative leadership skills and effective team player
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems, take initiative and decisive actions when needed
  • Detail oriented and possess excellent organization skills with the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Bilingualism is a must
  • Diploma in Supply Chain / Logistics or related program is an asset
