Aerospace Technician - Aircraft Maintenance and Repair
We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Technician to join our team at AAA Canada. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the condition of aircraft and engines, performing repairs, replacements, and adjustments in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
- Work closely with the Production Manager to complete assigned tasks, ensuring all work is done in compliance with local and Transport Canada policies and procedures.
- Conduct verification inspections, as trained, and maintain integrity of issued documents.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and written technical instructions, bringing any questions to the lead for resolution.
- Maintain shop areas and tools in a clean and safe condition.
- Collaborate with management and coworkers to understand the big picture, making necessary adjustments to achieve targets while informing others of potential issues.
- Disassemble, inspect, record discrepancies, recommend, and record methods of repair.
- Install, rig, and carry out mechanical functions and testing in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduated from an accredited trade institution with a Mechanics background.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Mechanics-related general aircraft assembly, fabrication, installation.
- Proven ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and written technical instructions.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Twin Otter aircraft and system experience considered an asset.
- Valid M1 or M2 license considered an asset.
