Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the Niagara Health System. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced laboratory professional to provide high-quality laboratory services in support of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality laboratory testing in accordance with legislative requirements, focusing on Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, and specimen collection and handling.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless delivery of laboratory services, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in laboratory medicine, applying knowledge to improve patient care and service.
Requirements
  1. Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology Program.
  2. Current registration as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario, with license to practice relevant specialties in Laboratory Medicine.
  3. At least two years of related clinical laboratory experience in a similar hospital environment.
  4. Working knowledge of processing medical laboratory specimens.
  5. Ability to apply knowledge, skills, judgment, and competencies required for safe, independent, and inter-disciplinary practice, meeting professional standards as outlined by the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario and related professional associations.
  6. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
