Transportation Training Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Training Specialist to join our team at Transport Laberge.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the vehicle transport industry, with a focus on training and development.

About the RoleThe Transportation Training Specialist will be responsible for teaching trucking concepts and specialized concepts related to the transportation of vehicles to all drivers.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
In this role, you will be required to develop and implement training programs, conduct road tests, inspect vehicles, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for drivers;
- Conduct regular road tests to assess driver proficiency and identify areas for improvement;
- Inspect vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies;
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions and driver performance;
- Collaborate with supervisors and other stakeholders to address any concerns or issues that may arise;
- Participate in the development and implementation of new training initiatives;
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the vehicle transport industry;
- Strong knowledge of adult education principles and practices;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Class 1 driving license;
- Ability to travel to various locations as required;
- Physical ability to stand and move around, working at heights.
- An estimated salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience;
