Job Summary
The Behaviour Consultant will provide clinical assessment and treatment recommendations through a comprehensive behavioural approach. This role will require the candidate to design, implement and monitor skill promotion and behaviour intervention programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement behaviour intervention programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and other special populations.
- Provide clinical assessment and treatment recommendations to individuals, families, and caregivers.
- Design and implement training programs for mediators, staff, and community agencies on behaviour management principles and procedures.
- Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of behaviour intervention programs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement behaviour plans.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and a vehicle for travel throughout York Region and/or Simcoe County.
- Current clinical experience and knowledge of behaviour therapy, including developmental disabilities and positive sexuality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Proven attendance record.
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.
- Models behaviour consistent with Mackenzie Health's Commitment to Caring.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in French.
