About the Role

This is a permanent position with a guaranteed minimum of 32 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have completed secondary school and possess at least one year of relevant experience in the tile setting trade.

You will work in various locations, including industrial and residential sites, and may encounter dusty and noisy environments. Your physical demands will include lifting heavy loads and performing tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.

As a Tile Setter Professional, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for tiling, mixing and applying adhesives, cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles, and aligning tiles for a perfect finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for tiling, ensuring they are clean and level
  • Mix and apply adhesives using hand tools
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Align tiles for a perfect finish
  • Perform all tasks related to tile installation, including measuring, marking, and laying tiles
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A secondary school graduation certificate
  • At least one year of experience in the tile setting trade
  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads
  • Ability to work in dusty and noisy environments
  • Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
