About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at MDNJ Enterprises Ltd. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Mopping Floors: Ensure all floors are clean and free of debris.
  • Dusting and Polishing Furniture: Dust and polish all furniture and fixtures to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Vacuuming and Cleaning Carpets and Rugs: Vacuum and clean all carpets and rugs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Handling Lost and Found Items: Handle and report all lost and found items to the management.
  • Emptying Trash Containers: Empty all trash containers and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Washing Windows, Walls, and Ceilings: Wash all windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Immediate Settlement Needs: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Social and Labour Market Integration: Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Diversity and Cross-Cultural Trainings: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Access to Elders: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

Requirements

  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
