**Job Overview**

Kent Legal is a Toronto law firm seeking an experienced Insurance Defence Legal Assistant to provide administrative legal support to our lawyers.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and experience working in an insurance defence role.

  • Provide administrative support to lawyers, including monitoring deadlines and preparing legal documents.
  • Transcribe, prepare, and revise contracts, correspondence, and other legal materials.
  • Assist with docketing, timesheets, and billing cycle coordination.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant/Law Clerk in an insurance defence role.
  • A Legal Assistant Certificate or Law Clerk diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Solid knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
