Senior Full Stack Software Development Lead

A leading bank in the Americas, Scotiabank is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Development Lead to join our team.

About This Opportunity

This role offers a unique blend of technical leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive business success. As a Senior Full Stack Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development efforts of a high-performing team, ensuring successful code delivery, and providing technical guidance to teammates through coaching and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: Set high standards for software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, business analysts, and architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain different applications.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance on secure coding practices, industry best standards, and code reviews.
  • Team Management: Oversee the development efforts of a team, ensuring timely completion of projects, and coordinating with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience working in IT, with roles like developer and team lead.
  • Deep knowledge of HTML/CSS/SASS (BEM, OOCSS, SMACSS, CSS3 Animations, Semantic HTML).
  • Experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
