Job Title: English Teacher - High School

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced English teacher to join our team at Parkland School Division. As an English teacher, you will be responsible for teaching English language arts to high school students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach English language arts to high school students, including literature, composition, and grammar
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education degree with English specialty
  • Valid Alberta teaching certificate
  • Experience teaching high school English
  • Strong background in assessment and differentiating instruction
