Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team at Eighty8 Alpha Automotive Inc. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance while working alongside our experienced technicians.

Job Description

This is a permanent position with 37.5 hours per week. You will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and estimating parts and labor cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs. You will also be required to perform scheduled maintenance service, test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, and provide excellent customer service.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., automotive technology) or equivalent experience.
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in automotive repair and maintenance, preferably with certification in areas such as brake system, hydraulic system, fuel and emission system, ignition and electrical system, automatic transmission, standard transmission, engine repair and overhaul, drive train components, auto body repair, collision repair, frame straightening, fibreglass repair, plastics repair, auto body painting, and welding.
