Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team at the Dairy Queen Grill & Chill Restaurant. This is a permanent position working 35-40 hours per week.

This role involves assisting in the preparation and presentation of food items, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, although this is not essential. What's most important is your ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist in preparing and presenting food items according to recipes and presentation guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors
• Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
• Portion and wrap foods
• Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Previous experience in a similar role an asset
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
