Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the emergency team to achieve length of stay goals for the department
  • Assist with the collection of blood specimens and ECGs in the ED
  • Perform all duties associated with specimen collection, including clerical, packaging, and transportation arrangements
  • Monitor inventory and ensure adequate stock for day-to-day operations
  • Maintain PPID equipment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year relevant experience as a healthcare provider in an emergency department
  • Certification as a Laboratory Assistant
  • Knowledge of laboratory computer systems
  • Medical Terminology required
  • Demonstrated experience with specimen processing
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Physically able to do the job
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record
What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly rate: $30.494 to $35.15 per hour
  • Rotating 12-hour shifts, Monday to Sunday
