Job Title: Senior Hardware Designer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Designer to join our team at NeuronicWorks. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality hardware designs that meet our clients' technical requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer technical requirements and develop design solutions that meet their needs.
  • Select components that balance performance, market availability, and cost.
  • Design high-level and architectural systems and boards.
  • Develop low-level, mixed-signal circuit designs.
  • Capture schematics and create PCB layouts.
  • Lead board bring-up efforts and test plan execution.
  • Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues.
  • Collaborate with HW, FW, SW, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Interface with manufacturing teams, customers, suppliers, and layout designers.
  • Document designs and provide technical support.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of direct hardware design experience.
  • Strong familiarity with digital design, including processors, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed buses.
  • Excellent schematic design and capture proficiency, preferably with Altium Designer or OrCAD.
  • Strong PCB layout design proficiency, preferably with Altium Designer or Allegro.
  • Significant experience in board bring-up activities, hardware debugging, and testing.
  • Strong hands-on skills, including soldering, rework, and solution improvisation.
  • Quick learner, able to ramp up and design with new technologies rapidly.
  • Experience with various sensors and data communication standards.
  • Familiarity with regulatory body standards, such as FCC, ISED, CE, and UL.
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
