About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Specialist to join our team at DLH Carriers INC. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our computer databases to ensure seamless data management and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement within our IT infrastructure, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Database Development: Design, develop, and maintain computer databases to support business operations, ensuring data accuracy, security, and integrity.
  • IT Infrastructure Setup: Configure and maintain our IT infrastructure to enable applications to access databases efficiently, ensuring seamless data exchange and analysis.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement data administration policies, standards, and models to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Network Access and Security: Develop and implement policies and procedures for network access and usage, as well as data backup and recovery processes, to ensure data security and integrity.
  • Scripting and Development: Write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers to automate database management tasks and improve data analysis efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Dbase Plus, Linux, Unix, MS SQL Server, database software, and MS Office, as well as object-oriented programming languages and SQL.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, team player, accountability, and quick learner.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
