Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials to various locations. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring a valid DZ class license and a strong commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and address any issues promptly
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and other stakeholders
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Requirements:
  • DZ class license
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods and overnight
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
