Emerging Hair Artist

The Emerging Hair Artist role is a temporary position designed to nurture and develop aspiring stylists. This 90-day program aims to identify exceptional talent and seamlessly integrate unlicensed individuals into the salon environment, providing them with invaluable insights from leading professionals in the field.

• Enhance and expand the salon's clientele.
• Observe and learn from experienced stylists and managers, engaging with them through relevant inquiries.
• Set a positive example for peers and establish a productive atmosphere.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to all guests.
• Promote and market salon services and retail products effectively.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting salon operations.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

To be eligible for advancement, candidates must:

• Hold a valid cosmetology license in their respective state.
• Demonstrate proficiency in salon services permitted by state regulations, including cutting, styling, and coloring.
• Exhibit a commitment to high standards of client care and teamwork.

• Graduation from an accredited cosmetology program and acquisition of necessary licenses within the initial employment period.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic salon setting.
• Strong time management and multitasking capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
• Familiarity with computer systems, including point-of-sale operations.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Capability to work with various salon products and chemicals.
• Ability to visually assess clients' hair and communicate effectively regarding their needs.
