Job Title: Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Island Recruiting. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and providing excellent customer service.

Work Environment

Our Service Technicians work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. You will be working outdoors and in a dirty environment, but with the opportunity to work on a variety of complex systems and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Provide customer service
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Compile worksheets and specifications of orders
  • Document work completed
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician (Fuel and Electrical Systems) Trade Certification
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Reliability and dependability
