About the Job


We are seeking a highly skilled Geological Survey Specialist to join our team at Baymag Inc. This exciting opportunity will involve conducting geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic or oceanographic surveys, as well as planning and directing field studies, drilling, and geological testing programs.



Job Responsibilities

  • Survey Operations: Conduct geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging or underground mine survey programs.
  • Field Work Planning: Plan and direct field studies, drilling, and geological testing programs.
  • Data Analysis: Participate in analyses of geological, geochemical and geophysical survey data, well logs and other test results, maps, notes and cross sections.
  • Sample Preparation: Prepare rock, mineral or metal samples and supervise the preparation of these samples.
  • Reporting: Oversee the preparation of site plans, reports and land use studies.


Requirements

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in this field of employment.
  • Environment: Willing to work in a variety of environments including outdoors, confined spaces, underground and wet/damp conditions.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
  • Benefits: Dental plan, health care plan, life insurance.
  • Relocation: Willingness to relocate for this position is required.
