We are seeking a skilled Truck and Coach Technician to join our team at Brandt. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of trucks, trailers, buses, and coaches in a shop environment.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose equipment issues, and perform repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and computer systems, to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Document all work performed, including machine information, actions taken, and time spent, to ensure accurate records and efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with equipment engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements, and work with the service team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Perform road tests and verify repairs as required, and maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail in all work performed.
- Previous mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment is required, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade is preferred.
- Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel.
- A commitment to high-quality customer service and a strong focus on safety and quality in all work performed.
