About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at David Lloyd Jones Home in Kelowna, B.C.

This is a casual opportunity with varying shifts and hours, including days, evenings, and nights. Shift times may range from 06:30 to 12:30, 14:30 to 22:30, and other designated periods.

About this Role
  • Provides nursing care to Long-term Care patients independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Enhances quality of life for patients and families by consulting, conferring, and collaborating with healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing care.
  • Maintains and advances own clinical competence.
  • Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Post-basic education in gerontology is an asset.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position starts at $41.42 and goes up to $55.91, effective April 1, 2024.
