Propak Systems Ltd. is a leading engineering, fabrication, and construction company specializing in gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are seeking a skilled Painter Specialist to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB.

About the Role

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a company-matched group RRSP. As a Painter Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Estimating material quantities by measuring surfaces or reviewing work orders.
  • Selecting and mixing paints according to predetermined formulas.
  • Tending to or operating equipment for surface preparation, cleaning, and coating.
  • Operating automated spray paint, dip, or flow coating equipment.
  • Preparing surfaces for paint application, including sandblasting and wrapping.
  • Applying touch-ups using paint brushes.
  • Cleaning and maintaining painting and coating equipment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of directly related work experience.
  • Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred.
  • Ability to direct, coach, and mentor apprentices.
